Who we are

Switchback Building LLC is a construction business based in Strasburg, Virginia. This page explains how we handle information submitted through this website and the services used when you visit.

When you request an estimate

We collect your name, phone number, project address or town, and project description. We also record when you submitted the inquiry, which form you used, and an inquiry reference. Please do not include payment details, passwords, or other sensitive information in your description.

We use your inquiry to contact you directly and discuss your project. We do not sell your information or use inquiry details for unrelated marketing.

Where your inquiry goes

Your inquiry is saved in our website database. A notification containing your inquiry details is also stored for email delivery and sent to our business inbox through Resend, our email delivery provider. Our website hosting, database, and email providers process information to operate these services.

Our server uses an IP address temporarily to limit repeated submissions. Website infrastructure may also process technical request information, such as IP addresses and server logs, to deliver and protect the website.

How long we keep submitted information

Our retention policy for submitted inquiries and their email copies is one year from submission. This policy covers the website inquiry record, its stored email notification, and the copy in our business inbox.

Deletion is managed by our team; the website does not currently delete inquiries automatically. Service-provider logs and backup copies have separate provider-controlled retention, so we cannot promise that every provider copy disappears on the same date. Contact us if you have a question about a specific inquiry.

Website analytics and your choices

Plausible: We use Plausible to understand aggregate website traffic, such as pages visited, referring websites, device or browser type, and approximate location. Its standard analytics do not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Plausible receives technical request data to produce these statistics. See Plausible’s data policy.

Microsoft Clarity: Only if you choose to allow it, we load Clarity to understand interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and session recordings. Clarity processes device and browsing information and may use cookies and identifiers. Our inquiry forms are marked for masking, but please avoid entering sensitive information. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.

You can decline Clarity without affecting the website or your ability to request an estimate. You can change your choice below or through “Tracking settings” in the footer. Withdrawing stops future Clarity recording in this browser; it does not erase information already sent to Microsoft. We treat a browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as a choice not to enable Clarity.

We store your tracking choice in this browser’s local storage. Clearing browser storage removes that choice. Our fonts are hosted with the website, so loading them does not make requests to Google Fonts.

Questions, corrections, and deletion requests

Email info@switchbackbuilding.com to ask about your inquiry, request a correction or deletion, or discuss this policy. Include your inquiry reference if you have it, but do not send sensitive documents. We may need to confirm that the inquiry belongs to you before acting on a request.
